Green Cities 2016 – Green Logistics for Greener Cities Conference

On 02-03 March in Szczecin took place the second edition of Green Cities Conference. It was attended by nearly 70 participants, including world-renowned scientists, representatives of cities and transportation and logistics enterprises.

The main goal of the conference was summing up works under the GRASS Project and exchanging knowledge and experience in the field of organizing city logistics in various parts of the world.
Conference sessions and discussion panels were chaired by: prof. Ron van Duin from Delft University of Technology, prof. Massimo Marciani from Luiss University of Rome, prof. Russel G. Thompson from University of Melbourne, prof. Eftihia Nathanail from University of Thessaloniki, prof. Jerzy Mikulski from University of Economics in Katowice and by PhD. Eng. Maja Kiba Janiak from University of Economics in Wrocław.

The conference was opened by the chairman of conference scientific committee and Grass Project coordinator- prof. Stanisław Iwan from Department of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering of the Maritime University in Szczecin.
